About.
Founder - Brenton Sconce
Brenton’s just a regular dude with a burning passion to see people loved well. He is a husband and father of 3, living in the PNW. He enjoys basketball, reading, hiking, The Office, and, of course, bearcrawling - and all with his family.
Brenton received a scholarship for aftercare following his in-patient treatment in July ‘22 and that fueled his desire to help others get the same shot he did.
BEAR
BEAR provides aftercare scholarships so people in recovery can access the support they need to build lasting recovery.
We focus on the critical stage where recovery is most vulnerable — when community, stability, and accountability matter most.
BEAR was created from lived experience. After entering recovery in July 2022, our founder received an aftercare scholarship that made continued support possible. That experience shaped BEAR’s mission: to ensure others have access to the same opportunity to build a stable foundation for recovery.
We are building a foundation focused on sustained recovery, responsible stewardship, and long-term impact.
